Wednesday Night Lights

There's something that is just so "quinessential junior high school experience" about going to a football game. Squashed between two people in the stands, listening to the cheerleaders telling the team to "BE AGRESSIVE," spilling crunchy Cheetos all over your lap, and wearing your school's colors are all part of the fun. This wasn't just any football game, though. This was The Night Game. The only game that would be played at night for all of junior high football season.

After lots of screaming and a little confusion, our school's varsity football team...lost. It was kinda unfortunate, but the game was so much fun to attend, no one really seemed to care. Well, except for the really loud guys a couple rows in the bleachers behind my super good friend, my mom and I that were actually rooting for the other team!!

The nest day, everyone was commenting on it. We even took a little bit of time in my first period class to "get it out of our systems" and talk about it before we moved on to more educational things such as MLA citations, the proper way to write an introduction, the importance of a flash drive, and essay prompts.
I am loving junior high. For all of you sixth graders out there and it's your last year at the elementary school, you have so much to look forward to! It is not at all scary. Sure, there are parts that aren't exactly your thing, but there is tons more there that is. I still have so much to learn, and to look forward to as a seventh grader. I have already met a lot of new people, and had some absolutely hilarious moments. It's fab. :)

My Junior High Adventures

Today marks the start of the first full week of school. I love all that has come with the junior high experience. The lockers, all of the new people, the classes, and not to mention, being able to see all of my elementary school friends again after a long summer. I LUCKED OUT with my locker. It is only a few feet away from my homeroom, on the top row, and the best part is: seventh graders don't have to share lockers. It's great. My favorite classes so far are Humanities in Depth (advanced Humanities), Leadership, well...everything! I didn't like my math teacher at first, but I think that he has kind of grown on me. He seems nice, plus his hair is super curly and partially reminds me of someone from the Renassaince (did I spell that right?!?) Era. My science teacher is hilarious, and he reminds me of my fourth grade teacher, Mr. Pittman. People seem to think that the 5 minute "passing time" between classes is way too short, but once you have been doing it for a few days, you realize that it feels almost like ETERNITY! I easily have time to stop by my locker if I am upstairs, use the bathroom, and chat with friends. I am thinking of ways to decorate my locker. Any thoughts? I know that when 2013 rolls around, I am going to buy a mini calendar to stick in my locker. I was thinking of printing off quotes from Pinterest and taping them to the inside of my locker. I don't even know really. Any thoughts? Comments are fine :). To all of my Drama Queen Darlings, farewell for now!
